It's amazing what money can buy. The Yankees have had the right offensive pieces for a few years now but with the millions of dollars spent to acquire C.C and A.J in the offseason and of course Tex, the Yankees added the final pieces to the puzzle. With these 1st year Yankees playing like all-stars, A-Rod being "clutch" for his first post - season, and the veteran leadership of Jeter, Posada, Pettitte, and Rivera, the Yankees were the most dominant team in baseball this year during the regular season and continued that trend running right through any opponent thrown in front of them during the post season. Congratulations Yankees on #27 (not that any of them will actually see this). Repeat next year. Oh, and another thought. Hideki Matsui MVP? He was definitely the MVP of game 6, no doubt about that, but did they maybe just give it to him so they didn't have to decide between A-Rod and Jeter? Just a thought of mine.
